The pleasent pou!

Kia ora,
On friday our learning hub had a wheels day!!! We brought bikes, scooters, skateboards, and other modes of transport. We went along the new cycle way to see the pou (statues). Koka Terri's family designed the pou and own land at the top of the hill and at the carpark area. Koka Terri's cousin goes to design school and he designed the image on the concrete. I really enjoyed the pou and can't wait to tell my family and friends that weren't there about them.

Here are some photos from the day:

The design represents two certain types of birds that would collect kumara.

  1. Kia Ora Kya, I enjoyed reading your post. It's awesome that you got to learn about the Pou and knew the people that helped create and design them. The new cycle track looks cool, I hope you guys enjoyed wheels day.
