Actions speak louder than words!

On Tuesday, Moana Learning Hub went down to the beach for Action Stations Day. On Action Stations Day every class in the school buddied up with their buddy classes and did and action to help our school and the community. For Action Stations Day, MLH did a beach clean up to clear the beach of rubbish! Did you know that over 100 million marine animals are killed each year due to plastic debris in the ocean!!! Here is a slideshow to show you what awesome things we were up to:

  1. I did not know that the number of marine animals killed each year was so high! It is definitely up to us humans to make a change in how we use and dispose of plastic... every little bit counts doesn't it.
I like how you put the photos onto a slideshow - it would be good to add a little description next to each photo so we know what was happening. Thanks Kya!

  2. Kia Ora, my name is Charlee and I go to Tautoro school and I really like this post because it has interesting facts that I never knew like I didn't know that that the number of marine animals are killed each year because of the cause of plastic and rubbish being in the water. I think that next time you can work on using a voice over for the photos to explain what they were doing but other than that I really enjoyed your post, also I like the photos that you have used for your presentation. Blog ya later.

  3. Wow this a great. Well done Moana Learning Hub. There is a community beach clean-up at Kaiti Beach this Sunday at 11 am - maybe some WBS kids will join us there! :-)
