Knight's Quest!

For the last few weeks we have been going to the Tonui Colab and working on a makecode arcade game. Makecode arcade is a free app that you can use to create your own awesome game. Mac, who is a professional game developer helped us through all the coding and designing.

We created a tilemap which is placing all the blocks and obstacles in the places we want. Then, we also made a character to jump around our game! Making the game was really fun, I hope you enjoy it. Please leave some feedback about the game :)

Scratch Game!

We were learning to make a game on scratch

I found it easy to choose a character and background

I found it hard to make up questions to use

I really enjoyed the whole thing!

Next time I will maybe make a game about a different topic

Pixel Cat

Today we were learning to create a character on a site called piskel. On piskel you can use little blocks and other tools to create piskel characters. The characters can then be used for a game or something that you create. I found it really fun and quite easy to make a piskel and next time I might try to make something more difficult and detailed.

Come to Gizzy!

With the corona virus going around no one has been able to travel so Seven Sharp news were holding a competition that asked people to create a video promoting your city. Sarah, Perle, Chanelle and I decided to enter and went to lots of different awesome attractions in Gisborne.

It was very difficult to get everyone to be there for filming because everyone had lots of activities after school so most of the clips are just Sarah and I. Making the video was really fun and it made me realise how much beautiful and cool stuff that there is to see and do in Gisborne. I hope you enjoy our video!

Copyright

We were learning about copyright
I found it easy to find some cool images to use
I found it a bit difficult to write down on each image where I got it from

SHARP!!!

Here is a video that I made as part of SHARP reading. I found it easy to create the video overall and I found this activity super fun. It was quite hard to always say the right thing. Next time I will try to make my video even better!

COVID - 19 reflection video

We were learning to create a COVID lockdown reflection video using WeVideo.
The most challenging part was getting the timing right on all of the videos so that they fitted correctly.
The easiest part was to record the videos using screencastify.
Next time I need to get the timing even more exact.
